Airplanes, Oranges and Scrabble

Last night I had to oober pack to fit everything that I'd brough, in addition to the stuff I bought while up here. That was exciting.

After a three hour car trip to the airport, I almost missed my flight because I was still in security while my plane [yes, MY plane] was boarding. Wow. Finding a seat was even more exciting than packing.

During take off, I almost lost it, due to the fact that I'd had very little breakfast. Luckily, I don't puke easily. Thank Heavens. :D

This evening a good friend came over. As we were setting up the Scrabble board to play with my mom [even though I'm not a big fan of three or four person Scrabble; two is the way to go!], I noticed a container of oranges sitting on my table. This wouldn't have been so exciting, had I not remembered that my favorite aunt had sent me on the plane with string cheese, and oranges. The oranges didn't fit in my bag, so I had to leave those with her. BUT! It was still exciting to see more oranges, so mid sentence I stopped and declared happily "I HAVE ORANGES!" Apparently I was the only one to get it, but that didn't make it not funny for the other company. :D What was really funny was that I only had string cheese, and NOT! oranges.

Believe me, it was a healthy game of Scrabble. I have a passion for words and language, which is probably why I love Scrabble like I do. Anywho, while I didn't break 300 [I was 6 away from it!!!!] it was still a pretty happy game, even though I only had one bingo... sad day! I suppose I'll be off to my own bed now, where my Chi can reset to my typical north-south bed. Love it! I've been stuck in an east-west bed for the past week and a half. Not fun. Cheers. :D

  1. I totally agree about two-person Scrabble. Have you ever indulged in just playing yourself? It is kind of fun... in a weird way.

  2. Yes actually, and it's fine. BUT! I know my next move, so I always end up biased to one hand. :D I know, absolutely awful, but that's what happens.... So I pretty much make one hand one. [:
